In light of what has happened personally in the last two weeks, I wanted to write down my thoughts that encouraged me so much over Christmas. It has been a tough 2010. It was so, so, so good to go to church for Christmas Eve. Northland Church did the service like no other - from the music to the message. Take time to encourage your heart and watch it here: http://www.northlandchurch.net/media/the_actual_reality/ (You might want to fast forward to about 5 minute mark to avoid the announcements)
But I was reminded that a Baby was born because of these rough days...because the world needed a Baby to be born to bring hope...because I need that Baby that was born to bring me HOPE...because when that Baby was born - Love Came Down!! Christmas isn't just for happy people, but for each one of us that needs a Rescuer. Christmas is about grace for each one of us that can't get it right. And the irony of all ironies - is that Christmas is for those that are missing the joy - Love humbled as a Baby so that I could come as I am - Love Came Down.
And as the new year came through the door, I was so thankful that I had just experienced Christmas so that I could have hope for 2011. The new year didn't just burst its way in right after a hard year. But Christmas came first before the new year - Hope Given - Love Came Down!!!
Too true Jenn for all of us. I love you
